Plus — why OpenAI putting ads in ChatGPT was always going to happen, and what to do about it. Main Feature Agentic AI: the difference between a GPS and a driver "A GPS tells you where to go. A driver takes you there." That's the whole agentic AI thing, really. For the past two years, we've been using AI as a very smart GPS — it gives directions, we follow them. What's changing now is that the AI is starting to drive. Not fully. Not always reliably. But enough to matter. An agent doesn't just answer your question. It breaks down the goal, picks the tools, executes the steps, and comes back to you when it hits a wall. Claude Code rewriting a whole feature while you're in a meeting. n8n workflows that adapt instead of just trigger. That's the shift. At Crewly, we're building this directly into how we work with clients — agents handling defined tasks inside our collaborative OS, with a human always close enough to course-correct. The hype is real. So is the utility. Just don't confuse the GPS for the driver yet. Hot Take When AI goes ad-supported — and why it was always going to happen OpenAI just announced it's putting ads in ChatGPT. $2.5B projected for 2026, $100B by 2030. The reactions ranged from "shocking" to "obviously." It's obviously. Netflix did it. Spotify did it. Every platform that built a massive free user base eventually had the same conversation: how do we monetize the people who won't pay? The answer is always the same. You sell their attention. Anthropic has been quietly but clearly positioning Claude as the anti-ad alternative. No ads. No attention economy. A tool you pay for, that works for you. The BK vs. McDonald's energy is real. Every time OpenAI makes a move that feels commercial, Anthropic gets to look principled. Whether that's strategic or genuine probably doesn't matter — it's working. What to retain 01 Free AI is about to get a lot noisier. 02 Paid AI will differentiate hard on "we don't do that." 03 AI ads know your intent in real time. Dream or nightmare — you decide. The age of neutral AI infrastructure is ending. These are media companies now. Act accordingly. From the team Building with agents, not just about them There's a lot of talk about agentic AI. We're in the middle of actually doing it. At Crewly, we've been integrating agents directly into how we work with clients — inside our collaborative OS, handling defined tasks, reporting back when a human needs to step in. Less theory, more operating layer. Next step: a full agent catalogue. Plug-and-play agents for the workflows that eat your team's time. Curious about what that looks like in practice?
